Exposing Iran’s Latest Cyberwarfare Methods and Threat Actors

A new wave of cyberwarfare by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in collaboration with the Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS) accelerated significantly after the nationwide uprising that began in December 2017. The protesters’ use of cyber technology proved to be the regime’s Achilles’ Heel because it could not, despite a huge show of force, stop the spread of the protests. The U.S. Representative Office of the National Council of Resistance of Iran has obtained new information on IRGC’s organizational efforts to expand and accelerate its cyberwarfare at home and abroad.

A media briefing on this subject was held in Washington, D.C. on February 15, 2018. The clips below may be downloaded and rebroadcast by members of the press and other media, as long as proper attribution is given to NCRIUS.
