Dad pulls out his son's loose tooth using a HELICOPTER

Dad’s have already used drones to make extracting their kids loose teeth tons of fun. But Rick Rahim wanted to take things a step further…

This is probably the most fuel that has ever been used to pull out a loose tooth! And: anything to avoid the dentist.

That was basically the comment on Rick Rahim’s, a career pilot from the state of Virginia in the US, trick to help his seven-year-old son Carson get rid of his milk-tooth.

Dad roped in the help of a helicopter for this extraction – the real deal not a remote controlled miniature. Yes, instead of struggling with the old floss-and-door-handle method or spending hundreds on a visit to the dentist, Rick spent… well, hundreds on fuel for a double engine helicopter.

One end of the long string had bobbles on it, apparently to make it visible, and was tied to the chopper and the other end was tied to a string of floss which was fastened around the offending tooth.

Carson, who stood looking almost bored in his Batman t-shirt throughout the entire ordeal, got a double-thumbs up from his dad from behind the steering handle before take-off.

And then, "1 000 HP of twin-engine jet fueled dentistry'' as Rick calls it in the video of the epic tooth-extraction which he posted to YouTube and Facebook -- complete with a dramatic soundtrack.

By 16 June the epic dentistry trick could already be described as a “a minimal viral success”, with 250 000 people having watched it.

At the end of the videos he reassures viewers that no participants were harmed during the making of the video.

The helicopter was very far away from Carson, his “dental assistant” as well as the other helpers.

“I flew the helicopter backwards away from the human beings and you'll notice we had plenty of room on the left and the right should there have been any sort of emergency. I am a 13-year veteran of flying helicopters.”
