30 Best Small Companies to watch 2019

An Interview with James Cerna, FogChain Corp CEO: ‘We’re Introducing the Next Generation of Software Development and Application Lifecycle Management Services & Tools’

thesiliconreview-james-cerna-ceo-fogchain-corp-19“FogChain’s mission is to become the world’s leading, fully integrated end-to-end software development lifecycle solutions provider.”

Modern app development strategy includes the rapid creation, maintenance, and management of applications that run across complex hybrid cloud environments without modification. This approach lets organizations get the most benefit from innovative technologies like containers and microservices, as well as from game-changing practices like agile, DevOps, and continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD).

In light of the above-mentioned strategy, we’re thrilled to present FogChain Corp.

FogChain provides a software development platform that enables companies to deploy apps on various platforms. It offers RadJav, a development engine that enables developers of various kinds and skill levels to create desktop, mobile, and HTML5 applications using the same code across the Web, desktop, or any mobile device.

The company was incorporated in 2017 and is headquartered in Vancouver, Canada.

James Cerna, FogChain Corp CEO, spoke exclusively to The Silicon Review. Below is an excerpt.

Why was the company set up? And how did you expand your company and its offerings over the years?

FogChain is a relatively new company and we set it up to fill a large gap in the marketplace for software development, testing and automation. Having come out of the industry, we realized there were still a lot of pain points that were not being addressed, and we also saw the advent of new cloud technologies, blockchain, and platform services that we felt, when integrated together, would create a solution that is both highly scalable and cost-effective. We’ve established our foundation by making three strategic acquisitions and have combined their technologies to create our Trident Platform. Our growth strategy going forward will continue to be a healthy mix of strategic acquisitions and organic growth.

How successful was your first project roll on? Share the experience.

We’ve had the benefit of acquiring companies with existing clientele and revenues, plus we have an incredible business development and sales team. Our first projects as a combined company did extremely well and were with established companies that are leaders in their industry.

About adaptability, how do you stay relevant to the consumer interests and needs in this highly volatile market?

Great question; one that we continue to ask ourselves as we build FogChain and roll out various services to our clients. Adaptability is about understanding where you are now and where you want to be in relation to the industry you’re in and the clients you serve. Keeping abreast of what is emerging both from our vendors and partners, as well as being attentive and listening to our clients helps us stay relevant and top of mind with our clients.

What are the factors that help your company to compete on a global platform?

Regardless of the industry or market that a company is in, there will always be a lot of noise from the competition and new entrants coming in. The three most important factors to us for competing on the global scene are providing extreme high quality value to our clients, being truly invested in their success, and continuing to maintain the differentiation of our service offerings and capabilities as compared to the others in our industry.

“Earning trust and respect of consumers is through consistent focus on delivering high quality in all of our actions.” How do you interpret this statement?

Delivering high quality in all of our actions is a value that we strongly support and embrace within the company. We also have to be constantly mindful to maintain consistency as well as be flexible enough to adapt to changing client needs, market trends, and new emerging technologies.

Moreover, maintaining customer loyalty is an ongoing part of our business, which we achieve by staying true to our core values and continuing to provide remarkable technology solutions that cost-effectively solve our customers’ problems and address their needs.

How does your company contribute to the competitive global IT platform?

FogChain’s new technologies have created a paradigm shift in how things are done and how new technology is leveraged. We did this by delivering a suite of SDLC services on a fully integrated end-to-end platform, which we believe is an industry first.

Do you have any new products ready to be launched?

Our Trident platform is a robust and fully integrated end-to-end rapid application development platform that also combines testing, quality assurance and monitoring. Each month or so, we add new features and functionalities to the platform that address existing and anticipated needs of our clients.

Where do you see your company a couple of years from now?

We clearly see FogChain as the world-renowned industry leader for integrated end-to-end software development lifecycle solutions. We also believe that there is a high probability that within 3-5 years we’ll be acquired by one of the big name software solutions providers.
