Slim Couture, a TCM slimming boutique, has expanded by opening its third slimming centre.This entrepreneurial move is intended to meet the constantly growing demand for Slim Couture’s slimming treatments. Sherlin Liu, founder of Slim Couture, says: “Our first two outlets are completely packed during peak periods. We needed a third outlet to cater to all our customers’ treatment requests.”
The 818 square-feet slimming centre is located in GSH Plaza, within the Central Business District (CBD). Potential clients, such as bankers and executives, can easily access the centre on foot, saving them the hassle that comes with driving and public transport.
Featuring a comfortable yet classic interior, the new outlet has a staff of five professional slimming consultants. All of them are fully trained in Slim Couture’s slimming practices, which heavily incorporates the principles of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM).
“These TCM treatments not only helps with slimming, but also other bodily functions such as blood circulation, detoxing and metabolism,” says Ms Liu.
But perhaps what is most entrepreneurial – and surprising – about Slim Couture’s treatments is that the boutique offers a money-back guarantee. A client will be fully refunded their payment if the treatment does not help them lose weight to the agreed amount.
“We want our clients to know that the treatment works,” Ms Liu says. “So far, none of our customers have requested for their money back.”
For their spirit of entrepreneurship, Slim Couture has been named one of Singapore’s top 500 promising Small & Medium Enterprises in 2014. The enterprise has also won other awards, such as the Top 100 Singapore Excellence Award in 2013/2014.
