French-Jewish Holocaust Denier Jacob Cohen: Holocaust Wasn't Mentioned Until Convenient Time in Israel's History; MEMRI Makes People Think Iran Wants to Commit a Second Holocaust; The Holocaust Has Become a Religion

Moroccan-born French-Jewish Holocaust denier Jacob Cohen delivered a talk titled “The Holocaust and the Zionist Agenda” at the Lawyer’s Club in Rabat, Morocco, at an event commemorating the 10th anniversary of what the organizers termed “the 2008 Gaza Holocaust.” Cohen said that the Nuremberg Tribunal had been a "victor's court" that had arbitrarily decided that six million Jews had been killed in the Holocaust, and that there had been no mention of the Holocaust until the 1970s, which was a convenient time for the affair to surface because "it fit well with the history of the Middle East [and Israel]." He added that the Holocaust has become a "new religion" complete with its own dogmas, rituals, martyrs, saints, courts, anti-blasphemy rules, and disbelievers – the Holocaust deniers. Cohen also stated that the Zionists are always a step ahead and looking for something for their propaganda, and that MEMRI "supposedly translates statements by Iranian officials" in an effort to make Westerners "think that Iran wants to commit a second Holocaust." He said that people who do not dispute anything they hear about the Holocaust will unconsciously accept it, and he concluded: "This is why it is absolutely necessary… [to] protest and to not let them have their way." The event was held by the "National Work Group for Palestine" against the backdrop of King Muhammad VI’s recent decision to integrate the study of the Holocaust into Morocco’s educational curriculum. The video was uploaded to the Internet by Al3omk Online TV (Morocco) on January 5.

Following are excerpts:

Jacob Cohen: Hundreds of thousands of Jews, maybe a few million [were killed]. We don't really know. The figure was set arbitrarily by the Nuremberg Tribunal, which is known to historians as a "victors' court." This is to say, the victors impose their law on the vanquished.

[…]

The Nuremberg Tribunal decided that it was 6 million people [killed] with gas, and that’s it.

There were no films, no documentaries, and no memorials… As if it had simply happened and nobody was taking about it. All of a sudden, from the 1970s onward, people thought: "Shit, there was a Holocaust! Wait a minute! It's not possible!" But why? Historically speaking, it fit very well with the history of the Middle East.

The miserable suburban residents – the Beurs [French Arabs] – are forced to visit Auschwitz. It's unfortunate that they should be forced to do so, but that's how it is.

[…]

You know, there is an organization called MEMRI, which is in the United States, and it supposedly translates statements from Iranian officials. Obviously, it translates them in its own particular way. That is to say, they always say… if you ask almost anyone who follows the news a little bit, [you will find that] they believe that Iran wants to exterminate the Jewish people – to exterminate Israel. Meaning a second Holocaust. The repeated hammering of this idea makes Westerners think that Iran wants to commit a second Holocaust.

We have turned the Holocaust into a new religion. I was laughing about it in the car with a friend because he told me that he was teaching religions. I said: "You know, a new religion has appeared – the religion of the Holocaust – with extraordinary success." Why? It is truly a religion. It has a catechism.

[…]

There are dogmas that you must accept. The Holocaust [dogma] is that there were 6 million Jews [killed] and gas chambers, and that's it. [There is a] ritual with prayers. There are martyrs, saints, people who were miraculously saved, relics, hagiographies, authors, exegeses, temples, and cathedrals.

[…]

In the religion of the Holocaust, there is [such a thing as] blasphemy. If you say something that does not match the text, you are blaspheming.

[…]

[They have] alms and compensation in order to erase sins. [For example,] the French National Railway Company recently paid 60 million Euros.

[…]

[It is] a religion with its own courts, its own Holy Inquisition, and its own disbelievers – the Holocaust deniers, who will go to Hell. It also has its own Righteous [Among the Nations].

[…]

When we see Faurisson's videos, we really ask ourselves questions about the gas chambers. You just need to see his videos to understand that it is not very clear. That's the least we can say.

[…]

The antisemitism that the Jews suffered in Europe is not so inexplicable.

[…]

[In my novel] I imagined all the rich elite in a villa in Marrakech – [French philosopher] Bernard Henri-Levy, [Former French Minister of Culture Audrey] Azoulay… They say to each other: "We need to do something." Zionists, like chess champions, are always one or two steps ahead, so they have to find something for their propaganda. So they tell each other: "Why not rediscover a mini-Holocaust and the duty of remembrance that goes with it?"

[…]

[My book] tells the story of how the lobby is going to work in Morocco and France in order to create a mini-Holocaust out of a small tragedy [the sinking of the Egoz ship] in 1961.

[…]

If an honest, tolerant, and human Moroccan citizen with a generous heart naively accepts this logic, goes to see an exhibition, attends a Holocaust [Remembrance] Day, and does not dispute anything, he will unconsciously accept many of the elements I just mentioned. So it is absolutely necessary to resist, oppose, contradict, and protest, and to not let them have their way.
