PARKS AND RECREATION ORDINANCE

AMENDMENT NO. 82D-2

TO THE RESIDENTS AND PROPERTY OWNERS OF BERLIN CHARTER TOWNSHIP, MONROE COUNTY, MICHIGAN AND ANY OTHER INTERESTED PERSONS:

Public Notice is hereby given that the Berlin Charter Township Board held a second reading and adopted Berlin Charter Township Parks and Recreation Ordinance Amendment No. 82D, Section 5 on May 23, 2016. A summary of the Ordinance, which amends Section 5 of the Parks and Recreation Ordinance No. 82D regarding closing of parks, appears below.

Section 1. Title.

This Section sets forth the title of the Ordinance.

Section 2. Amendment of Parks and Recreation Ordinance No. 82D; Section 5; Closing of Park.

Berlin Charter Township Parks and Recreation Ordinance No. 82D, Section 5 is hereby amended to include Sections 5(c) and 5(d) regarding no parking signs and to provide for the towing of vehicles parked in the Park after Park Hours and to assess the cost of such towing and impoundment to the vehicle owner.

Section 3. Repeal.

This Section repeals any Ordinance in effect which is in conflict.

Section 4. Severability.

This Section sets forth the provision that separates valid portions of the Ordinance from those portions that may be found to be invalid or unconstitutional.

Section 5. Effective Date.

This Section provides that the Ordinance will be in full force and effect thirty days after adoption and publication in a newspaper having general circulation in the Charter Township of Berlin, Monroe County, Michigan.
