Overture Home Care’s Compassionate Care Services

RN-Managed Care

Overture provides RN Managed Care under the RN Delegated Task Rules, set forth by the Texas Board of Nursing. Any task that is being taught to the family or support system upon discharge from a hospital, Overture Home Care Aides can also perform. Click here to learn more.

Transportation

We offer transportation services for our clients, whether or not our clients have a vehicle. This service is designed for local trips to the supermarket, bank, hairdresser, doctor’s office, etc. However, we have some rules and protocol that must be followed prior to initiating this service. Please click here for more details.

Chronic Illness Support

Overture aides are trained to assist with a variety of chronic illnesses affecting adults. Our expertise includes those suffering from diabetes, dementia, Multiple Sclerosis, ALS, stroke recovery, and many others.

Companionship

Isolation among seniors is common, and unfortunately it greatly hinders quality of life. Seniors facing isolation are at a higher risk of depression, which, as it sets in, can lead to more isolation and increase depression severity. As well, if something goes wrong while a senior is alone, it can be very difficult to get help, which can turn a variety of minor to serious situations into grave scenarios. Companionship promotes improved mental and physical health, and new friendships and feeling cared for can lead to happiness.

Aging in Place

Aging in place is a term used to describe a person living in the residence of their choice, for as long as they are able, as they age. This includes being able to have any services (or other support) they might need over time as their needs change. The goal of Overture Home Care is to allow our clients to remain in their own home and not have to move. Some of our clients live in their own homes in private neighborhoods, others live in Independent Living facilities or Retirement homes. Our aides come to you and allow you to get the services you need in your home. Read more here.

daily assistance

Many times the only thing preventing a senior from total independence is a simple task such as medication management or meal preparation. At times, physical limitations prevent a senior from showering or bathing him/herself. Simple tasks can make a situation complicated, but with a little help with these daily to-dos from Overture, a senior can easily remain safely at home rather than moving out. Other such daily living activities activities that may require outside help are dressing, bathing/grooming, toileting, transferring and medication reminders.

Respite Care

Often times seniors only need assistance from our aides for short periods of time. Whether it be recovery after a surgery or a fall, or caring for a senior while their loved one takes a needed break. Overture offers short term care for those needing only a short period of time. A day or a month, we are there to assist.

Post-Hospital Care

For many older people, hospitalization results in functional decline despite cure or repair of the condition for which they were admitted. Hospitalization can result in complications unrelated to the problem that caused the admission or to its specific treatment for reasons that are explainable and avoidable. With our assistance, you can encourage recovery of your loved one after hospital release. Click here to learn about how we help with recovery.

The word ‘Overture’ means to initiate a new relationship, and we’ve long believed this was the perfect word to name our home care company.
