Rendina Healthcare Real Estate And Cleveland Clinic Florida Nominated For Two HREI Insight Awards

Jupiter, Florida, Feb. 20, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The first nomination is for Best New Healthcare Facility in the 50,000-99,000 sq. ft. category. Coral Springs Family Health Center is a 73,122 square foot facility developed by Rendina and staffed by Cleveland Clinic Florida. It has 15 full-time physicians, 20 additional rotating physicians, and 95 staff members in administrative and clinical roles. To date, it has served over 14,000 patients since opening its doors in July of this year.

The facility cost approximately $32 million to build and includes six operation rooms, 40 exam rooms, 24 prep/recovery rooms, and two endoscopy suites.

Speaking on behalf of the joint venture, Rendina President Steve Barry was quoted in a recent interview stating that the nomination "recognizes the creativity" of the partnership. He added that the Coral Springs Health Center is a "state-of-the-art facility" ideally suited to the needs of its local community.

The second nomination is for HREI's 2018 Healthcare Executive of the Year. Rendina CEO and Chairman Richard M. Rendina has been nominated for his role in forging Rendina's partnership with The Cleveland Clinic Florida as well as selling a ten-building, 490,000 sq. ft. property in August.

Mr. Rendina is also known for his philanthropic efforts, including raising upward of $3 million for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and establishing a scholarship at Cardinal Newman High School for local student-athletes in need. Furthermore, Mr. Rendina established two charitable funds at his Alma mater, University of Notre Dame. He also regularly speaks at industry events and real estate round tables.

Mr. Rendina stated that he was "honored" to receive the nomination in a recent interview, adding that he could not have done it without the efforts of his hard-working team.

HREI is the nation's only magazine dedicated exclusively to real estate development, investment, and financing within the healthcare industry. The organization distributes its Insight Awards on an annual basis to recognize the individuals and facilities that have made the greatest contributions to the field.

The winners will be announced at the RealShare HRE Conference, taking place on December 6, 2018 in Scottsdale, Arizona. The December 2018 and January 2019 issues of HREI will also list the winners, as will HREInsights.com. Finally, the 2019-2020 Resource Guide will include information on all of the winners of these prestigious awards.

While it remains to be seen whether Rendina and The Cleveland Clinic Florida will actually win either award (Rendina has won three times over 11 nominations in the past), merely receiving the nominations is a sure sign that the organizations are on the right track. Interested individuals are advised to follow the results on the magazine's website for all of the latest updates as they happen.
