TUSTIN, CA, September 28, 2018 – Freeze Tag (OTC: FRZT), a leading creator of location-based mobile social games, announced today that its flagship game Munzee has launched a new program that rewards players for helping maintain the game’s map. Known as ZeeQRew (pronounced Zee Crew), this elite group of players have now been given the ability to upkeep the gameplay map and repair QR code game piece stickers.

Players were selected for ZeeQRew based on a distinct set of requirements including a specific number of captures and deploys, a current Premium Membership, and recent gameplay activity. The ZeeQRew initiative currently has more than 2,000 members made up of international players and their key duties include locating and replacing QR code stickers throughout the world. With more than five million physical munzee game pieces deployed throughout the world maintaining the stickers has become very important for the integrity of the game.

“What makes the game of Munzee so unique is that players are tasked with finding these hidden stickers in the real world. Unfortunately we can’t control the weather or other environmental factors,” said Rob Vardeman, President of Freeze Tag. “It can be frustrating for new players to spend the time looking for a hidden sticker only for it to be missing or unable to scan. Our hope is that the dedicated members of ZeeQRew can help us clean up and maintain the map so we can continue to grow the game even more.”

Although there have always been measures in place to allow players to mark missing or damaged munzee stickers, replacement requests to the owner of the game piece can sometimes be overlooked. If a munzee is marked “Unable To Locate” or “Needs Repair” by two or more players it is placed in “Maintenance Mode” for up to 30 days or until the munzee is replaced. If the owner does not replace the munzee it is then undeployed from the map. The creation of the new ZeeQRew will allow these select players to immediately replace munzees that they do not own if they are unable to locate them or the stickers are in need of repair.

ZeeQRew members will also be rewarded for their time and efforts through exclusive access to discounts, new products and more within the Freeze Tag Online Store. This new section of the store is expected to launch sometime in October. Freeze Tag expects that the number of ZeeQRew members will continue to grow over time and prove to be an integral part of the game.
