Educating, inspiring, and empowering underserved youth through the magic of Mother Nature.

At the MeWater Foundation, we have witnessed first hand how exposure to the ocean and mother nature has the power to educate, inspire, and empower. We work to address trauma and stress in young people from backgrounds of poverty and violence in the San Francisco Bay Area and provide them a different way of relating to the world and communities they live in.

All Stars Helping Kids Accelerator Program – Cohort 2023

A Film by the all stars grant program

Each year, All Stars Helping Kids selects a cohort of innovative Bay Area nonprofits to participate in a three-year intensive program that is designed to help build the organizational capacity, financial sustainability and community impact of those organizations working to disrupt the cycle of poverty for Bay Area youth. All Stars and its portfolio of nonprofit partners work to ensure youth in low-income and marginalized communities have access to a quality education and the support needed to go on to college; the skills and resources they need not to just get a job but a career, and that they can stay healthy in body and mind. Float

A Film by Adam Warmington

MeWater Brings Surfing and Mentorship to San Francisco's Hunter's Point.

We are excited to share this special short movie made by our good friend Adam Warmington, starring Anthony Stepney.

Anthony has participated in MeWater programming up and down the California coast, even joining us for a day at Kelly Slater's Surf Ranch. When Keith Malloy contacted me about producing Fishpeople in 2017, he asked if I knew any kids who we could highlight, and I immediately knew Anthony and Shirley were perfect for his film! Please click here to read as Anthony shares some of his own words.
