Robert Lieberson, MD, MHA, FACS, FAANS is a Stanford trained neurosurgeon who has been in practice for thirty years. Dr. Robert Lieberson trained as a computer scientist at the University of Pennsylvania Moore School. He worked as computer scientist to pay for medical school at the University of Pennsylvania. After completing medical school,Dr.

Robert Lieberson completed seven years of neurosurgical training at Stanford and one year as a spinal cord injury and research fellow, also at Stanford. After residency, he built one of the largest neurosurgery, spine and pain practices in Northern California.Dr. Robert Lieberson performed the first outpatient cervical disc surgery in Northern California and the first outpatient pedicle screw fusion surgery in the West. In 2008, Dr. Robert Lieberson returned to Stanford as a Professor where he taught and mentored young neurosurgeons in trauma, spine, and CyberKnife. He performed brain tumor research at Stanford, publishing and presenting on about 50 separate topics around the US, in Europe, and in Asia. For the past several years, Dr. Robert Lieberson has worked as a locum tenens provider at a variety of hospitals, including Howard University in Washington, DC and UCSF's Alameda County Neurosurgery Division in Oakland, CA. In 2015, Dr. Robert Lieberson returned to school. He obtained a Masters in Healthcare Administration from the University of Southern California. In addition to continuing his neurosurgical practice, has since consulted for multiple start-up companies, state medical boards, attorneys general, and others in medical computer science applications and quality assurance issues. Dr. Robert Lieberson has been awarded numerous honors, including multiple recognitions at Stanford and at his other affiliated hospitals.
