The DOCK is an afterschool program that provides a safe haven for school-aged children and teens. The program is designed to offer a wide range of learning and recreational experiences that promote academic achievement, emotional and social learning, skill-building and community engagement. At The DOCK, kids get to unwind and have fun in a nurturing and structured environment. They also gain access to academic support, health and wellness programming, life skills development, Christian guidance, and other age-appropriate enrichment activities.
Gifts From the Heart Christmas Shop is a joint partnership program that understands that families, including those of very modest means, would rather provide for themselves than accept a handout, especially during the holiday season. The Gifts From the Heart Christmas Shop offers an affordable shopping experience so that families with the greatest needs have the opportunity to shop for gifts with dignity. These families are served throughout the year by a coalition of local nonprofits that work collaboratively to administer the Gifts From the Heart Christmas Shop program.
The Greater Heights Apartment Community is a quality affordable housing option for income eligible individuals and families. The program empowers members of the community to meet their own needs by connecting residents to resources, support and opportunities to develop life-changing skills, economic self-sufficiency, and a strong foundation for a fulfilling life. The 18-unit apartment community plays a pivotal role in contributing to lasting positive change in the Booker T. Washington Park neighborhood by helping residents break the grip of poverty so they can thrive.
