Just finished a phone interview with The Independent of Petrolia & Central Lambton regarding my letters to the City of Sarnia and the St. Clair Township Public Works on the topic of light pollution. Thanks Blake for taking the time to connect and the best part, was learning about your 25 years in Northern Manitoba! Look forward to chatting more about your ti.e up there, seeing as that's precisely where my expedition is heading! Here's a link folks, on simple little things we can all do that together — make bigger impacts. https://www.rasc.ca/ Click on their "Canadian Guidelines for Outdoor Lighting". Here are reasons why this is important to me: - The ability to experience the naturally dark night sky (viewing and photographing) - Affect light pollution has on flora and fauna - something so easily adjusted, yet makes a big impact I hope you are inspired to do just little simple things to enhance the beauty all around us. From heating and cooling at 1 degree less or more to turning outdoor lights off when not needed (more light does not equal less crime by the way) and learn about proper recycling options. Small easy steps that make giant impacts when the many are doing it. 🤜🤛
