Tomorrow, we're expecting an extraordinary event in Northern Sweden: - 31,60 EUR/MWh electricity prices! This occurrence is thanks to a perfect storm of high renewable energy production, particularly due to warm weather and robust wind power output. This phenomenon highlights not just the potential of renewable energy but also underscores one of the biggest challenges we face in the energy sector: matching real-time demand with the production capabilities of renewable power plants. As we continue to embrace cleaner energy sources, developing innovative solutions to balance supply and demand becomes crucial.

We are thrilled to share that after months of dedicated efforts and innovation, Enerhash USA has successfully developed our Flare Gas Utilization Project. Traditionally, flare gas has been seen as a byproduct of oil and gas operations, often burned off and released into the atmosphere. Recognizing the potential to turn this wasted resource into a valuable asset, we embarked on a journey to not only capture but also convert flare gas into a source of clean energy. Our project now harnesses this previously wasted gas for off-grid power generation, providing a cleaner, more sustainable energy source. Furthermore, we are leveraging this power to fuel data center operations, thereby reducing our carbon footprint and advancing our commitment to environmental sustainability. This achievement marks a significant step forward in our journey towards energy innovation and underscores our dedication to creating solutions that benefit both the planet and our business operations. We are proud of our team's hard work and ingenuity in bringing this project to fruition and are excited about the positive impact it will have. Stay tuned as we continue to lead the way in sustainable energy solutions!

Google and the Environmental Defense Fund are launching MethaneSAT this year, a satellite aimed at mapping global methane emissions from the oil and gas industry. Utilizing Google's AI, this project represents a significant leap in environmental accountability and climate action. By providing precise, global methane leak mapping, this initiative places unprecedented pressure on the industry to address and eliminate gas leaks and flaring practices. It aligns with our efforts to combat climate change by offering a solution to eliminate gas flaring and reduce methane emissions effectively. https://lnkd.in/gMqEnWq4

The Biden administration announced, they will act to dramatically reduce methane emissions from the US oil and gas industry. Under the new plan, oil and gas companies would be required for the first time to pay a fee for emitting methane. The resulting penalties could total millions of dollars for the companies. A plan to impose a fee of $900 to $1,500 on every excess ton of methane emissions would be the first federal price on greenhouse gas pollution. Methane is the second-most-abundant greenhouse gas after carbon dioxide, but is 80 times as powerful in the short run in terms of heating the atmosphere. https://lnkd.in/d9pHJRtJ

What a day to celebrate the 5th anniversary of Enerhash Group! Five years ago, Daniel Jogg and Balazs Jogg embarked on a mission to transform the energy industry by integrating data centers for optimized power generation and enhanced flexibility. Today, as we celebrate 5th anniversary, we are thrilled to reflect on the remarkable achievements we've unlocked along the way. Our journey began with a groundbreaking collaboration with EON in Hungary, where we integrated the world's first data center into a virtual power plant portfolio. This innovation enabled us to optimize power generation and provide vital demand-side flexibility. In an extremely challenging environment due to covid and war, Our developments extended to New Zealand, where we utilized excess hydro plant capacity for demand response services and grid balancing. We continued our mission in Sweden, providing grid balancing services to stabilize the volatile renewable power generation landscape. In the USA, we evolved into power generators ourselves, actively reducing routine gas flaring and emissions at oil and gas drilling sites, contributing to a greener planet. One of the highlights of our journey has been our use of high-performance Bitcoin mining data centers and technology solutions. This approach sparked both controversy and genius in equal measure. We received inquiries from over 80 energy companies, all curious about our work and its implications. Many wondered about the resilience of our model in the face of Bitcoin's volatility. To put things in perspective, we've consistently digitized wasted energy, never dipping below 100 EUR/MWh for five years, while power exchange prices took a huge turn being more volatile than anything reaching negative power prices on daily basis. Today, as we celebrate our 5th anniversary, the approval of the Bitcoin ETF marks a new and exciting chapter for our industry. We're at the forefront of converting and digitizing wasted energy into a commodity called digital gold. We want to express our deep gratitude to our dedicated team, visionary partners, and supporters who have been instrumental in our journey. The future is bright, and we're eager to continue shaping the future of sustainable energy.
