KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Cars lined the streets near the Kansas City MLB Academy so residents could find relief from the heat with a fan giveaway.

The Salvation Army said it teamed up with Evergy to pass the fans out at 18th and Lydia Ave. Neighbors were lined down the street before crews could even set up.

The fans went quickly.

“A fan in a room can help circulate the air, things run so much more efficiently a little bit goes so far in keeping people comfortable,” said event organizers.
