Meet our Senior Director of Supply Chain Business Diversity, Karmetria Dunham Burton. Karmetria makes sure that our supply chain is inclusive of businesses that are owned by women, minorities, veterans, LGBTQ and disabled business people. Her work is incredibly important as the diversity of our supply chain makes it better and stronger for the benefit of our business and the communities we serve. Thank you for all you do for McDonald’s, Karmetria, and for sitting down to talk with me. I’ll be carrying your dad’s advice with me! #BHM #BlackHistoryMonth
Well personally I think it's more important that you don't die from food poisoning from McDonald's then to stand up there and say oh God what a great Black History Month I don't care if y'all like me or not McDonald's tried to kill me
McDonald’s is always at the forefront of the future of business. When will McDonald’s accept #dogecoin ?
Great story love the concept of “net working” is your net worth” 💯 true!!
Great interview Karmetria! I’m sure your father and grandmother are proud of the impact they had in developing you into the rockstar you’ve become!
Very Nice...You knocked it out of the box. Awesome!
Awesome interview Karmetria! Such an inspirational story and love everything you are doing at McD!
How incredible to have a sit down interview with the CEO to first get to know the person who leads such an important function within the organization but more importantly to demonstrate commitment to an inclusive supply chain. Congratulations Karmetria and Chris!
Thank you for sharing, Karmetria. It’s great to hear more about your story and how you got started in the space. Look forward to hearing more about McDonalds efforts to help diverse suppliers get started!

1yTo whom it may concern; I was working at a Mcdonald’s location in Canada for more than 2 years and I honestly dedicated all my heart and soul. We were always #1 in drive thru times and our walk in and uber operations have always been on top. Even our old GM was awarded the Ray Kroc award. But even all that, I was constantly overworked and under appreciated and I was never promoted not until I told them I needed to leave and they started “offering” the positions I needed and wanted but I declined. They weren’t able to help me process my papers for my PR. I honestly felt like I wasted so much time, energy and efforts. Now, I am here back home in Manila after 5 years for a family emergency because my mom is sick and she is going through chemotherapy right now. I am humbly asking for an opportunity to work at a location near me if ever. Or even share all the experiences and knowledge I learned from working at my location. Thank you for understanding. I am just sharing my truth and what I’ve experienced.
