⚓ Conditions for the world’s seafarers are set to improve following the adoption of new amendments to the Maritime Labour Convention, 2006. Governments, seafarers, and shipowners from across the global shipping industry have agreed on important updates covering six key areas. These changes are designed to better protect seafarers from abuse, enhance on-board care, and facilitate greater mobility around the world. 💬 When we go to work, we expect to earn enough to live, have time to rest, and—most importantly—stay safe. But for millions, these are still not guaranteed. Thanks to ILO Conventions, many workers now have fair wages, maternity protection, and safe workplaces. But millions more still need these rights. Decent work should be for everyone, everywhere. 💪 #DecentWork
