If you received an email or letter from BayMark Health Services, Inc. (“BayMark”) informing you that your sensitive personal and protected health information was compromised in a data breach, you may be entitled to compensation. BayMark recently disclosed that it was the victim of a data breach that compromised individuals’ sensitive personal and protected health information.
On October 11, 2024, BayMark became aware of a security incident on its IT Network. In response, BayMark launched an investigation with the assistance of third-party cyber security experts to determine the nature and scope of the incident. BayMark’s investigation determined that a data breach occurred between September 24, 2024, and October 14, 2024, and affected data associated with certain administrative services that BayMark supports or previously supported.
On November 5, 2024, BayMark’s investigation also determined that sensitive personal information was among the data which was subject to unauthorized third-party access. BayMark then launched a comprehensive review of the incident to identify the exact type of information compromised as well as identify the individuals compromised in the data breach. On January 8, 2025, BayMark issued a public disclosure and started sending out notice letters and emails to affected individuals.
