What is this about?

If you received an email or letter from CR&R Incorporated d/b/a CR&R Environmental Services (“CR&R”) informing you that your sensitive personal information was compromised in a data breach, you may be entitled to compensation. CR&R recently disclosed that it was the victim of a data breach that compromised thousands of individuals’ sensitive personal information.

What Happened?

Recently, CR&R became aware of a security incident on its IT Network. CR&R launched an investigation to determine the nature and scope of the incident. The investigation determined that an unauthorized third-party gained access to CR&R’s IT Network on October 19, 2022, and accessed certain sensitive personal information of individuals.

CR&R, then launched a comprehensive review of the incident to identify the exact type of information compromised as well identify individuals impacted by the incident. The review was completed on October 30, 2024. On December 26, 2024, CR&R issued a public disclosure and started sending out notice letters and emails to affected individuals.

What Information Was Impacted?

Although the exact type of information compromised is not yet available, according to state reporting guidelines, “personal information” can include the following types of information:

• Name,
• Social Security number,
• Driver’s license or state identification card number,
• Account number, credit card number or debit card number, if circumstances exist wherein such a number could be used without additional identifying information, access codes or passwords, and
• Account passwords or personal identification numbers or other access codes
