What is this about?

If you received an email or letter from Great Star Tools USA, Inc. (“Great Star”) informing you that your sensitive personal information was compromised in a data breach, you may be entitled to compensation. Great Star recently disclosed that it was the victim of a data breach that compromised individuals’ sensitive personal information.

What Happened?

On August 17, 2023, Great Star became aware of a security incident on its IT Network. Great Star launched an investigation with the assistance of third-party cyber security experts to determine the nature and scope of the incident. The investigation confirmed that the data breach occurred between August 2, 2023, and August 17, 2023. The data breach affected certain personal information that Great Star supports or previously supported. The investigation determined that sensitive personal information was among the data which was subject to unauthorized third-party access.

Great Star then launched a comprehensive review of the incident to identify the exact type of information compromised as well as identify the individuals compromised in the data breach. On January 8, 2025, Great Star issued a public disclosure and started sending out notice letters and emails to affected individuals.

Upon information and belief, the following sensitive personal information may have been compromised in the data breach incident:
