What is this about?

If you received an email or letter from Gerber Life Insurance Company (“Gerber Life”) informing you that your sensitive personal information was compromised in a data breach, you may be entitled to compensation. Gerber Life recently disclosed that it was the victim of a data breach that compromised individuals’ sensitive personal information.

What Happened?

On December 5, 2024, Gerber Life became aware of a security incident on its IT Network. Gerber Life launched an investigation to determine the nature and scope of the incident. On December 11, 2024, Gerber Life’s investigation concluded, and the investigation determined that the unauthorized party had accessed details related to specific policies and policyholders.

Gerber Life then launched a comprehensive review of the incident to identify the exact type of information compromised as well identify the individuals affected in the incident. On January 8, 2025, Gerber Life issued a public disclosure and started sending out notice letters and emails to affected individuals.

What Information Was Impacted?

Upon information and belief, the following sensitive personal information may have been compromised in the data breach incident:

• Name,
• Address,
• Policy number, and
• Account payment information
