What is this about?

If you received an email or letter from Carruth Compliance Consulting (“CCC”) informing you that your sensitive personal information was compromised in a data breach, you may be entitled to compensation. CCC recently disclosed that it was the victim of a data breach that compromised individuals’ sensitive personal information.

What Happened?

On December 21, 2024, CCC became aware of a security incident on its IT Network. CCC launched an investigation with the assistance of third-party cyber security experts to determine the nature and scope of the incident. The investigation determined that an unauthorized third-party gained access to CCC’s IT Network between December 19, 2024 and December 26, 2024 and accessed/ acquired certain files.

CCC then launched a comprehensive review of the incident to identify the exact type of information compromised as well as identify the individuals affected in the data breach. On January 13, 2025, CCC issued a public disclosure and started sending out notice letters and emails to affected individuals.

What Information Was Impacted?

Upon information and belief, the following types of sensitive personal information was compromised in the data breach:

• Name,
• Social Security number,
• Financial account information,
• Driver’s license number,
• W-2 information,
• Medical billing information (but no medical records), and
• Tax filings
