What is this about?

If you recently received a letter or email from Octagon, Inc. (“Octagon”) informing you that your sensitive personal information was compromised in a data breach, you may be entitled to compensation. Octagon recently disclosed that it was the victim of a data breach that exposed sensitive personal information of its consumers.

What Happened?

Octagon recently became aware of a security incident on its IT Network and launched an investigation with the assistance of leading third-party cyber security experts to determine the nature and scope of the incident. The investigation determined that an unauthorized third-party was able to access consumers’ sensitive personal information in Octagon's possession. The breach could have resulted from either a direct attack on Octagon's systems or through one of their third-party vendors or partners. Octagon conducted a comprehensive review of the impacted data to determine what information was compromised and how many individuals were impacted. On December 31, 2024, Octagon, Inc. filed a notice of data breach with the Attorney General of Massachusetts and started sending out notice letters to the impacted individuals. The full scope and nature of the attack remain unclear, as Octagon has not issued a public press release or website notice with additional details.

What Information Was Impacted?

Upon information and belief, the following types of sensitive personal information may have been compromised as a result of the data breach:

• Name,
• Social Security number,
• Driver’s license number, and
• Financial account information.
