What is this about?

If you recently received a letter or an email from Hewlett Packard Enterprise Company ("HPE") informing you that your sensitive personal information was compromised in a data breach, you may be entitled to compensation. HPE recently disclosed that it was the victim of a data breach that exposed individuals’ sensitive personal information.

What Happened?

On December 12, 2023, HPE became aware of a security incident involving unauthorized access to its cloud-based email environment. Upon detection, HPE launched an investigation with the assistance of third-party cybersecurity experts to determine the nature and scope of the incident. The investigation determined that a suspected nation-state actor gained unauthorized access to HPE’s email environment. HPE conducted a comprehensive review of the impacted data to determine what information was compromised and identify affected individuals. On February 5, 2025, HPE filed a notice with the Massachusetts Attorney General and other authorities and started sending out notice letters to the affected individuals.

What Information Was Impacted?

Upon information and belief, the following types of sensitive personal information may have been compromised as a result of the data breach:

• Name, 
• Social Security number,
• Driver’s license number,
• Credit/debit card numbers, and
• Financial account details
