If you recently received a letter or an email from Lucent Health Solutions, LLC (“Lucent Health”) informing you that your sensitive personal and protected health information was compromised in a data breach, you may be entitled to compensation. Lucent Health recently disclosed that it was the victim of a data breach that exposed individuals’ sensitive personal and protected health information.
On October 2, 2023, a Lucent Health manager opened a single "phishing" email from a trusted broker. Lucent Health's IT team identified suspicious activity on the employee's email account and eliminated access within approximately ninety minutes. In response, Lucent Health launched an investigation and engaged third-party cybersecurity experts to determine the nature and scope of the incident. Upon investigation, Lucent Health determined that one e-mail account was subject to unauthorized access for a limited period (approximately ninety (90) minutes), and that the unauthorized individual queried select search terms. Lucent Health conducted a comprehensive review of the impacted data to determine what information was compromised and how many individuals were impacted. On January 30, 2025, Lucent Health reported the incident to the Attorney General of California and started sending out notice letters to the affected individuals.
