Quality Management impacts a broad set of people and operations in an organization. At the same time, organizations rely on a significant set of systems to design, manufacture and deliver products and services to customers. From workers on the shop floor to the corporate suite, quality is top of mind.
How do the different systems in an organization interact? How do you avoid being siloed, with different teams having different views of the same information? How can a quality problem in one factory be used to ensure future problems don’t occur, regardless of the location?
An electronic Quality Management System (eQMS) stretches across an organization and can act as a hub, providing a single source of truth, ensuring everyone has consistent, accurate data enabling better decisions. This applies to each person doing their own tasks as well as at different locations, where you need to think globally, but act locally. And underlying this activity is data – from employees, production equipment and more, combining and analyzing quality data cannot only solve existing quality issues, but can prevent future problems from occurring in the first place.
Join us for the Opening Night Welcome Reception, where you can mingle with fellow attendees before the event begins. Pick up your name badge, enjoy a drink, and connect with others in a relaxed, casual setting. Don’t miss this chance to start building valuable connections ahead of Wednesday’s official kickoff!

Quality is integral to the manufacturing process, spanning from start to finish, and plays a critical role in Industry 4.0 as emerging technologies and the AI wave reshape industries. Vision systems are central to automating and enhancing large portions of the quality process. This talk will break down the essential skills and tools needed to integrate vision systems into manufacturing workflows, while exploring their potential synergy with digital twin simulations through platforms like Nvidia’s Omniverse.
In an era of unpredictable supply chains and complex global operations, manufacturing faces significant challenges. Leveraging metrology data can transform how organizations manage quality processes by integrating inspection management, real-time monitoring, and raw machine data into a "single source of truth." This approach empowers manufacturers to adapt swiftly and optimize quality assurance. By breaking down silos, it fosters enhanced collaboration, transparency, and trust among teams. Leveraging data diversity and intelligence elevates agility and competitiveness, ultimately shaping the future of manufacturing.
The most time in the project lifecycle should be invested in planning. When it comes to validating changes before they are implemented, there are opportunities to address the problem and “try on” the proposed changes before they are released to the external customer.
This presentation will present the critical elements of planning validation pilots. All industries should benefit from this presentation as it will offer approaches to increase the likelihood of successful project implementation through thoughtful planning tools and techniques.
Developing a passionate, engaged workforce is the recipe for a thriving, successful business. Respect for people in combination with continuous improvement is the key. But what does ‘respect for people’ really mean? While most are looking for answers, solutions, the how; success actually lies in the questions. Structured as an open conversation, in this session we will discuss what we need to do differently and the critical leadership skills and behaviors that are essential.
Most people find nanomaterials unadoptive in product manufacture given their limited manufacturing capacity, high relative expense and the dominance of energy markets. We present how to open up capacity without new plants, mitigate expense and even energy sector consumption dominance. Key to this is a counterintuitive approach to the “what must be trues” of new material and product adoption. In the case of Nano Catalytics, we’ve discovered high efficiency use technologies that improve all kinds of performance but with two orders of magnitude less performance.
Some frequent challenges for companies have to do with finding and requesting external services and ensuring measuring & test equipment being returned to service is fit for purpose and meets requirements.
These challenges and deficiencies can be addressed and prevented by having the knowledge and understanding of:
1. How to search for appropriate calibration vendors and understanding scopes of accreditation
2. What to communicate to calibration vendors so you get what you need the first time
3. How to read and interpret calibration certificates and use the data to reduce your risks and ensure better measurements.

Quality validation is often done through CMM inspection in accordance to design drawings with dimensions and tolerances. Every characteristic is created by one or more elements in the CNC production process. This seminar reviews common types of linear and geometric dimensions on engineering drawings and links each one to common CNC process elements that control those characteristics. Understanding these links enables the successful quality engineer to productively engage with their organization’s manufacturing teams and processes in order to resolve quality problems.
In this presentation we’ll explore how Metrology Automation is transforming quality control by delivering faster, more accurate, and repeatable inspections, enhancing productivity. These steps are often intertwined in varying degrees of order and linearity, transcending multiple facilities and multiple suppliers.
On this session, we will review the primary process steps in most automated manufacturing projects, the importance of these elements, how to approach and define each step, and then insight on maximizing outcomes from both operational and business perspectives. Real-world examples will be utilized throughout to provide context, along with tips to succeed of pitfalls to avoid.
Manufacturing products of consistent quality requires the ability to monitor and measure torque. A torque measurement and calibration program reduces risk and ensures conformity with quality standards and regulatory compliance.
Torque measurement isn’t a single process or event in manufacturing products. It should occur in all three facets of the assembly process—prior, during, and after manufacturing. Measuring torque improves quality and process control.
Learn how to implement a successful torque testing and calibration program.

Design for X refers to design methods that ensure a particular characteristic or function is reflected in the final design. X might refer to quality criteria, such as cost or reliability. It might refer to performance characteristics, such as manufacturability or serviceability. Or, it might refer to an overall goal, such as sustainability. Regardless of what X might be, the key is to consider the endpoint early in the design stage, before decisions about materials, manufacturing processes, and assembly technology have been locked in.
In this workshop, you’ll learn how to design your products to be more manufacturable, more cost-efficient, and more environmentally friendly.
Steven Gerdeman, Technical Advisor, HCL Software

Sometimes, the best assembly is no assembly. If a feature can be formed or created in a part—rather than added to the part on the assembly line—then that’s one less process step engineers have to worry about. That’s one of the drivers behind in-mold assembly. In-mold assembly can be used to create a variety of plastic products with multiple materials. It can even be used to create products with articulated joints. In this session, you'll learn ways to use injection molding to accomplish assembly simultaneously.

Like many new technologies, AI has been prone to overhype, misunderstanding, misappropriation and even fear. Indeed, according to recent poll, 61 percent of Americans believe that AI could threaten the future of civilization, and more than two-thirds are worried about AI’s negative consequences.
For manufacturers, however, there is plenty to like about AI. Generative AI is transforming the design process, enabling engineers to create new products in hours or days instead of weeks or months. Machine learning is making automated inspection faster and more precise. And, AI is allowing engineers to analyze terabytes of data, in real time, to get early warning signs of machine breakdowns or supply chain disruptions.
This session will provide real-world examples of how manufacturers are using AI on the assembly line right now—and where the technology might be headed.
