Protocol
Ráneum implements the IBFT 2.0 Proof of Authority protocol with immediate finality, delivering Byzantine fault tolerance by operating multiple validators. To achieve resilience and high availability, validators and their constituent parts - compute, storage, networking and data resources - are distributed across physically and logically separated, sub 2ms low latency regional zones. Each validator zone comprises of multiple datacenters with independent power source, network and cooling. In addition, to facilitate comprehensive disaster recovery in the event of a regional zone failure, Ráneum employs a DRaaS which replicates validators to separate global locations.

Ráneum shares the same wallet framework as Ethereum layer-1 which means that wallets on Ráneum mainnet can be used and shared with Ethereum mainnet using MetaMask.
