Take Your Child to Work Day is more than just bucket truck rides and flying drones. It’s about learning what the hardworking parents of Atlantic City Electric do every day in powering South Jersey. That’s why we got our very own kid blogger Brysen on the scene, asking fellow Atlantic City Electric kids what they think their parents do for work and why it’s so important. Hear from them and their Take Your Child to Work Day experiences in this video.

Yesterday the Atlantic City Electric chapter of OLE had the honor of being a sponsor at the Día del Niño festival in Atlantic City. We had a fantastic day volunteering alongside our community partners with El Pueblo Unido Of Atlantic City. Over 600 families attended the event where we were able to engage them with virtual reality experiences, STEM workshops, information about our Smart Energy Network and Energy Assistance programs. We're excited about future opportunities to connect with our communities. #OLE

"I think it's important as an electric company and as partners of the community we're finding ways to make sure that we're taking care of our environment," shared Christine S., senior envonmental program manager. We were proud sponsors and participants of the 32nd Annual ACUA Earth Day Festival, where nine of our departments egnaged with our community about the importance of environmental conservation and sustainability. #EarthDay #ACUA

As April's #VolunteerMonth comes to a close, we're reflecting on the incredible work by more than 100 volunteers from Atlantic City Electric, IBEW Local 210, KABOOM!, Gateway Community Action Partnership, and the Borough of Paulsboro during our Build Day event. We came together to create a playground for West Buck Street Park by pouring concrete, assembling equipment, painting murals, and shoveling mulch. In just six hours, we turned a vacant lot into an exciting playground that residents will enjoy for generations to come. See how we’re sparking joy for the children of Paulsboro here: http://spr.ly/6049jJrfD #MoreThanEnergy

We may all have the same 24 hours in a day, but it’s not every day you build a new playground within those hours. Our latest KABOOM! playground build in Paulsboro, NJ seemed to happen at warp speed! Check it out.
