"Brother Felix Y. Manalo, its first Executive Minister, preached the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church of Christ), which was registered in the Philippines on July 27, 1914. The Church swiftly expanded over the islands of Visayas and Mindanao in the Philippines, beginning with its first local congregation in Punta, Sta. Ana, Manila. By the time Brother
Felix Manalo died on April 12, 1963, the Iglesia Ni Cristo had established ecclesiastical districts in more than half of the country's provinces. In 1968, the Iglesia Ni Cristo, headed by Executive Minister Brother Erao G. Manalo, founded the first two local churches outside the Philippines—Honolulu, Hawaii and San Francisco, California in the United States. As a result, the Iglesia Ni Cristo started to spread throughout the Far West and, ultimately, over the globe.
