The Women's Foodservice Forum (WFF) consistently curates thought provoking content which inspires action. Mary LeMere's session on June 20th, covering psychological safety, is one that I’m especially looking forward to. Beside giving us the vocabulary and blueprint for crafting a psychologically safe work environment, Amy Edmondson's work shows the link to high employee and thereby, company performance. Psychological safety is more than just a belief that mistakes aren’t punished. It’s a full body knowing that you can bring your whole self to work, unleash your talent and create meaningful work with others.

Meet Claudia Ortiz, HR Business Partner, Olive Garden, Darden. Claudia has spearheaded a succession planning initiative in which she created a development plan for over 100 managers, each plan personal to the individual. This program helped Eddie V’s identify managers, chefs, and hourly leaders with a high potential for growth. Her proactive and strategic approach to the role reinforces the brand’s commitment to excellence and contributes greatly to their overall success. Claudia also serves as Co-Chair of the Hispanic or Latin American Network (HOLA). HOLA’s mission is to support and enrich Hispanic and Latin American communities, establishing partnerships within and outside of Darden. #ShesLimitless and one of our 2024 Change Makers!
