Stellar AfricaGold (SPX) has identified new gold-mineralized structures in Morocco.
The structures are associated with diorite intrusions at the Tichka Est Zone B on the Tichka Est gold project.
The company followed up assay results from a mechanical trench cutting across a diorite body at Zone B (3.5 g/t Au over 155.7 m) with mapping in search of additional diorite intrusions.
A phase 1 trenching program followed the mapping, leading to the new mineralized gold structures and further evidence of mineral continuity.
Phase I trenching highlights:
- Mechanical trench MT2: 1.52 g/t Au over 39.7 m and 1.58 g/t Au over 8.6 m
- Mechanical trench MT3: 1.27 g/t Au over 80 m
- Trench NT: 2.27 g/t Au over 18 m
- Trench TB13: 2.19 g/t Au over 5 m
- Trench TB14: 2.42 g/t Au over 6 m
- Trench TB15: 1.28 g/t Au over 7 m
The North-West and South-East zones in the vicinity of Zone B warrant further exploration.
Zones A, C and C’ will be mapped, trenched and sampled during 2023.
The company remains confident of the discovery of a significant gold deposit at Tichka Est.
President and CEO Francois Lalonde spoke with Sabrina Cuthbert about the new discoveries.
