Proving What Is Possible With Affordable Housing: Azure Estates

Many Section 8 communities are the source of community turmoil and poor resident experiences. This was the case for the Stonybrook Apartments in Riviera Beach, FL. The property had been neglected for years and was rampant with drugs and crime before a Millennia-affiliated entity purchased it in 2019.

In just three short years and after an investment of more than $18M, the complex was reborn. Not only did the transformation change the lives of hundreds of families who now had safe, modern, and new homes, but it also changed the community with police service calls to Azure Estates dropping by 51 percent in the weeks following the completed renovation.

See the transformation

Moore Manor, a Section 8 apartment community in Amory, MS, was in desperate need of renovation and Millennia took on the challenge. And then in March 2023, in the middle of the revitalization process, a tornado hit the city, further devastating the community and displacing residents into temporary FEMA housing. Driven by the focus and resilience of Millennia to revive the cherished sense of community, in November 2023, residents received a new lease on life and have begun moving into beautiful renovated homes.
