We Build More Than Bikes

Wish for Wheels turns dreams into reality for 2nd graders in your local community who have been dreaming about their first bicycle.

Together, we’ll plan an unforgettable team building experience that’ll ignite your organization’s passion, increase your ROI and help kids in underserved communities pedal into new adventures.

Do you remember your first bike?

That fresh rubber smell, the smooth touch of cold metal on your legs and the grip of the handlebars as you buckled your helmet and got ready to ride with the wind at your back and the pavement in front of you…

Our founder, Brad Appel recognized that a bike equals freedom. Growing up it was both his stress relief and his window to the world around him. Decades later, he bought his three kids their first bikes and taught them how to ride. But he started to wonder…

“How did children from low-income families get their first bikes when their parents might be struggling to pay the grocery bill?”

Thus, Wish for Wheels was founded in 2004, with the mission of giving every kid in need their very own bike and helmet. They showed organizations & corporate teams the power of not just building a bike, but handing a brand new bike to a kid who’s been dreaming about one forever

Imagine creating team building events that reignite the spark of creativity and create a culture of cooperation and respect… without the boring webinars, pizza parties and potlucks. All while helping a 2nd grader’s Wish for Wheels come to life

That’s exactly what we do. Let’s get ready to ride together.

Our Partners

If you’re here, that means three very important things:

  1. You know that employee engagement goes far beyond jeans days or Monday morning bagels.

  2. Your organization cares deeply for the local community and desires philanthropic team building events that’ll engage, excite and exhilarate your team.

  3. You understand that in the eyes of a 2nd grader, a bike is never just a bike. And a team building event is never just an excuse to get out of the office.

At Wish for Wheels, we understand that philanthropic team building can increase your ROI, improve morale and inspire camaraderie.

Our events will help you do just that by empowering individuals to create a community that’s ready to roll into the next challenge.

And truthfully? There’s nothing more gratifying than the look on a child’s face when you hand them their very first bike. Since 2004, Wish for Wheels has supplied more than 82,000 bikes and helmets to kids in need. And it’s all made possible with the help of organizations like yours, dedicated to philanthropic team building.

Imagine your team 3-months down the road, celebrating another huge win, all while knowing that a group of 2nd graders got back the autonomy to be kids, explore their city, and learn to love outdoor adventures with the wind in their hair.

And it all happened while you didn’t have to lift a finger

We’ll take the stress out of planning your next Team Build & Give event so you can show up, participate in employee engagement and focus on the most important part: the kids.

Our expert coordinators will do the heavy lifting so you don’t have to. Everything from  supplies, location, and even a daily agenda are on our to-do list so you can get ready to Build & Give.

Once you give a kid a set of wheels, the entire world opens up to them. And the look on those kids’ faces when they receive their first bike? Priceless.

So, let’s get building
