Environmental Health &Safety Intern at Georgia Pacific LLC | Resident Assistant & Applied Engineering Ambassador at Jacksonville State University
This week I had the amazing opportunity of joining around 100 interns at the Summer Kickoff event, hosted by Georgia Pacific LLC, in downtown Atlanta! The event was hosted by the Early Careers Team at Koch Industries and they did an incredible job at making this experience the greatest and most fulfilling experience I could have ever asked for. From networking and greeting fellow interns from across the country, to learning and growing knowledge about the exciting work I will be partaking in over the summer, this trip was truly filled with the best of surprises!Tomorrow I have a full facility tour of the plant I will be interning at, and then officially starting my role this upcoming Tuesday. The best is yet to come! Shoutouts: Alexis Renikow - MBA Candidate Brittany Hobbs Kelli Durden As well as all the other Koch Early Career employees that helped make this event such a dream to be a part of! #GPIntern #KockIndustriesKickoff #Internlife

Tye Darland, EVP, Koch Capabilities and SVP/ General Counsel, Georgia-Pacific LLC, shares how second chance hiring is mutually beneficial to individuals, businesses and communities.
