At the heart of every organizational decision is the welfare and safety of the youth they serve.
Their goal is not having youth focused on day-to-day survival, it is about creating self-sufficiency, surrounded by healthy relationships and creating & achieving long-term goals.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - sarah s.Woodland Hills, CA015454Jan 22, 2018
I recently attended a free 3 hour course offered by Unity Care titled "Engaging Children and Youth through the lens of Transcultural Engagement Model." The class was amazing and I loved the perspective provided by the Unity Care staff member as he shared both his personal and professional experiences as a person of color at home and in the workplace. I highly recommend checking out these free courses taught by Unity Care staff, especially in light of our current racial climate. Good job Unity Care!

I've lived at one of the houses for over a year now. While being at Unity Care, it was one of the worst expierences of my life. Where I was mistreated and felt as if no one truly cared about me. While living here I was accused of false crimes and was denied whenever I wanted to talk about something. One of my housemates, had his belongings stolen from him, which was reimbursed. For myself, I had also had my belongings stolen. Which, was never replaced. It seemed to me that no one cared about myself in the home. I am not a drug user, in fact I am sober. I graduated from high school and looking forward to prusing my dreams. While Unity Care just brought down my dreams, pushing me towards the wrong path. I am happily moving out next month and have no intent to stay. If I were you, I would suggest another group home or THPP instead of coming here.
