This program is for people who are living in recovery but struggling with some lingering source of pain or suffering. I know for me, I was in recovery for years before that dark void inside of me began to disappear. Being in recovery doesn’t mean all the challenges and frustrations of your life immediately disappear. Far from it! This program will help you focus on your strengths and develop your character in all vital areas of your life so that you can find greater happiness, meaning, fulfillment, and success. Whether you’ve been in recovery for 20 years or you just relapsed yesterday, this program will help improve your life. The only thing you need to get tremendous benefit from this program is a desire to change, and an open mind, and a willingness to put forth the effort.
Not only, YES, but there are many reasons online recovery training can be MORE effective than traditional approaches. With the advances in technology and social trends that have moved so much of our lives online, the ability to conduct training and foster connection virtually continues to improve. You can get the same information and be guided through the same exercises online that you can in person. With online communities like Facebook Groups and programs like Zoom, people from all over the world into the same virtual room for a meeting. The fact that Thriving in YOUR Recovery is completely online is not something that diminishes the value or transformation you will get from the program. Any value lost because of the virtual nature of the program and the fact that you aren’t in the same physical room as someone else is minor compared to the tremendous benefits and flexibility offered in the virtual classroom. Of all those struggling with substance use disorder or addiction (actively and those in recovery), only about 10 percent get the level of care and treatment they need to live a fulfilling life. Many of the obstacles that keep people from the treatment they need are immediately overcome by the virtual nature of this program. 1. It’s cost-effective. The investment for this program is a fraction of what it costs to attend a residential treatment program. Even free 12-step programs can get expensive to participate in longterm once you consider the expense of lost work hours, transportation, babysitters, etc. 2. It’s always available. This lessons in this program are always accessible so you can work through it at any time. 3. It’s virtual. This allows you to access the program at your convenience from wherever you have privacy and feel secure. Many people face the obstacles of embarrassment or shame when they consider going to a therapist, treatment center, or meeting. With an online program, that’s not an issue. 4. Flexible. This program meets you where you are and will help you move forward at your own pace. Whether that’s a few hours a day or a few hours a month.
TiRY-O Membership comes with 6 months access to the online program. You'll have lifetime access to the workbook and some of the downloadable video lessons that you save. There is an opportunity to extend your access for members who want to go through the whole program multiples time. Sometimes, I will grant lifetime access to the online program to a member as a reward for their effort and engagement throughout the course (completing all assignments, participating in regular group calls, seeking support when they get stuck, etc.) With a good exercise routine and healthy diet, that could be many years. Of course, I cannot predict what technology will look like, 10, 20, or 50 years from now. We may all be living augmented reality lives on some space ship by then. But for as long as technology will allow this kind of training platform to exist online, I plan to keep the course live and offer access to new members and previous ones. Sound good?
Yes. Once you enroll in the Thriving in YOUR Recovery course, you will have instant access to all the training lessons, worksheets, and resources. You can start at the beginning (recommended) or jump to a lesson to work on a specific area of your life first. We will add additional training modules and Extra Credit lessons as we improve and expand the course material. You’ll have access to everything else as soon as we load it to your course website…. AND… you get access to all the TIYR improvements for NO ADDITIONAL COST. 🙂
Thriving in YOUR Recovery is designed to provide the resources and support necessary to help anyone in their recovery journey. Many people have found 12-step groups to be a vital part of their recovery. For those involved in a 12-step program, Thriving in YOUR Recovery will be a great complement to bolster your recovery journey and help take you further down your path at a faster pace. Others have found recovery by following some of the dozens of alternatives to traditional 12-step approaches. Whether working a 12-step program (like AA, NA, CA, CR, Y12SR, etc.) or not, Thriving in YOUR Recovery will be a valuable tool and provide many resources to your recovery.
That’s a personal question that only you can answer. Are you getting everything you need from your 12-step program to deal with challenges and struggles you face? Are you getting everything you need to live into your full potential and enjoy the best possible life BEYOND the cravings, guilt, and shame? Thriving in YOUR Recovery leverages the science of human flourishing which focuses on strengths to improve wellness. Traditional approaches focus on what is wrong with people and try to help them become “less bad.” The science of flourishing and Thriving in YOUR Recovery help you identify what’s good with you and what's going well so you can leverage that to grow and thrive. Because they operate from different positions, the two can work well together.
The Thriving in Your Recovery Facebook group is only open to students of the program (online only and the group coaching members). This group is about community and connection. It’s a place where we can share our wins, ask for ideas and support, and cheer each other on as we progress in our journey. I will use the group to share exclusive content and host occasional Facebook Lives so I can help keep people engaged, offer some additional support, and help everyone get to where they want to be in recovery.
A detailed review of the curriculum by a professional in the addiction recovery field: As I’ve gone through this, I feel like this is a 10 out of 10. It is easily understood and direct, while still being powerful. The focus on self-acceptance and self-love really spoke to me. As someone with a history of trauma and abuse, the focus on defects and faults in some recovery circles has amplified negative voices of my past, making those recovery programs less supportive and helpful to me. Since trauma is relatively common in people in addiction, a program like this that instead builds up the person and their strengths makes more sense to me. The way that the steps build on each other, helping create a pathway for the student to come to see their future, as well as find meaning in the steps along the way, is very beneficial for those having a hard time seeing outside the next 24 hours. This program is flexible for those who have different ways of learning, from visual, audio, and tangible, as well as makes it easy to translate to a conversation between a support person (such as a counselor, PSS, or sponsor) and the client. It is easy to pause and complete the workbook sections as needed, letting each person dictate their speed and learning, as well as handle emotions that may come up while working through it. Overall, I think this is a very useful tool, able to be used alongside other support systems or as a pathway to a better recovery by itself. Thank you so much for the opportunity to view this and assist in the process of making this program a reality! Best, Getty
Everyone understands the financial consequences that come with substance use disorder and addiction. Sometimes, our financial resources can be very limited. We do accept all major credit cards and offer a payment plan to make it a little easier for Thriving in YOUR Recovery to fit within your budget. If your budget is a little tight right now I’d invite you to look at how much money you spend to avoid, escape, or numb the stresses of your life. Even those of us in recovery can spend a lot of money on external pleasures or experiences in order to deal with the void inside. Can you reduce your spending on travel, dining out, buying new gadgets, or updating your wardrobe? Once you are thriving in recovery and have begun to fill the void with greater positivity, engagement, meaning, and achievement, that need to constantly indulge and escape will begin to fade. I have found that point right there to be worth all the sacrifices made during my journey. If you just have too little or no income at all, think of some people who may be willing to invest in your recovery? Who do you turn to when you really need some help? If you were in an accident or if you were sent to rehab but had no money, who would you call? See if they’d be willing to invest in your future BEFORE things get that bad. Some people have had success with crowdfunding to raise tuition for a program like this. Sites like GoFundMe are a great place to get a little bit of support from a lot of people who would like you to succeed. Remember, we have a 72-hour, 100% Money Back Guarantee. So if it’s not right for you, we’ll happily return your investment.
