How can you demonstrate your ability to learn quickly in Information Security interviews?
There is no doubt about it, experience trumps all, but gaining experience without the benefit of a solid foundation which education and yes professional certification courses provides can be a slow arduous slog. The point is you need both, but gaining a basic education in cybersecurity principles, and then more granular and applied education through professional certs can accelerate and individuals ability to gain experience and therefore be more valuable to the organization sooner and achieve more over time. Our goal should be to create true cyber professionals capable of higher level critical thinking in this profession. The industry needs real talent, the quickest way to get there is through a balanced approach.
