In Clinic Rapid Diagnosis and Surveillance
Data not used in Grayscale Bmode Imaging in US to Deliver Point-of-Care Diagnosis:
  • Rapid 5-10 min PoC exam
  • Comes installed on a PoC device and is ready to go
  • No integration into existing institutional IT/PACS necessary
  • Unique use of additional data stream for AI/ML biomarkers
  • Designed with acquisition guidance/does not require expert sonographers or radiologists
  • Automated analysis and enhanced visualization/disease maps
  • Ongoing international data collection at 9 clinics and hospitals, and research agreements in place with lead Hepatologists across North America. Additional 3 centers planned for 2024.
Technology
Tissue Characterization in the Palm of your Hands
Oncoustics’s Pipeline of Pocket Sized Diagnostic Solutions are minimizing the need for invasive biopsy and expensive imaging in detection and characterization* of disease:
  • Surveillance and staging of liver tissue pathologies
  • Guiding treatment, biopsy, ablation and radiation
  • Supporting drug/treatment development and use (clinical trails to companion device)
*Traditionally applied, tissue characterization require huge investments in pathology (invasive) and/or radiology systems including MRIs, CTs and Ultrasound - and is subject to the qualitative interpretation of experts.
Testimonials
A point of care liver dx solution that provides a rapid bedside exam and yields information on liver fibrosis, steatosis, inflammation and nodule formation, could hugely impact the field of hepatology.
SAM LEE, MD
University of Calgary
[Oncoustics’ technique] makes perfect sense to me as the raw data is much richer than that in current medical images…This technique is much easier to use and would benefit millions of at risk patients.
DR. CHEN FONG, MD
Past Chair of Radiology, University of Calgary
“The Oncoustics’ technology broadens our options and could be performed in the clinic or in an outpatient center. As applications and strategies evolve, there is huge potential for enhanced, non-invasive tissue characterization.”
DR. ANAND PATEL, MD
Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center - Torrance
A point of care tool to help assess liver diseases such as fibrosis and steatosis within minutes could help improve outcomes and reduce clinical workload for physicians and techs. This would be a valuable tool for initial surveillance in rural centres.
DR. AIJAZ AHMED, MD
Stanford Medical Center
As a primary care physician, I have the tools to screen my patients with diabetes for high risk end organ damage, including cardiovascular risk, retinopathy, nephropathy, and neuropathy. A tool to screen for NASH/NAFLD is equally important, and I love that the OnX would allow me to screen and counsel the patient within a single encounter.
DR. MATTHEW SAKUMOTO
MD, UCSF, CPMC
The biggest challenge we face is in identifying whom amongst [our] many patients have advanced fibrosis and are at risk for liver failure. Point of care tools would be particularly useful in this respect.
DR. GARY F. LEWIS
MD, FRCP, Banting and Best Diabetes Centre, UoT
