Today, we celebrate Menstrual Hygiene Day, a global campaign created by our partner, WASH United to promote good menstrual health and hygiene for millions of women and girls facing obstacles to reaching their full potential. #MHDay2024 unites nonprofits, governments, individuals, businesses and media for this important cause. The Menstruation Bracelet – a symbol of this movement - consists of 28 beads, including five red beads, representing the average menstrual cycle. Wearing the digital or physical bracelet shows that periods are nothing to hide. Our Latin America team brought together volunteers from more than 10 countries through the regional #Changemakers program to work with our #Kotex and #Intimus brands to make bracelets and donate them to partner institutions with menstrual hygiene education and female empowerment programs. We thank our employees for taking the time to educate and support more girls and women. #ProgressFeelsLike coming together to create a world where a period never gets in the way of any woman’s progress.

In anticipation of Menstrual Hygiene Day on May 28th, our team members around the globe are raising their menstruation bracelets to show support and kick off the #MHDay2024 celebration. Together with the Kotex® brand, we are committed to fighting period stigma and supporting menstrual hygiene education.

Sustainability is everyone's responsibility at Kimberly-Clark, and we embrace the commitment with care. An example of our dedication is our Atlantic Forest Socio-Environmental Reference Center (CRSMA), located in our distribution center in Brazil. Since 2012, the project has planted native tree seedlings to reforest the area. We also map and preserve endangered species in collaboration with partner universities. As a result, several animal species are returning to the area, including one considered extinct. More than 24 acres of land have already been recovered through replanting activities. Starting in 2017, we and the region's city halls invited municipal elementary school students to visit CRSMA. The activity is part of a plan to promote environmental education and increase awareness of the importance of preserving animal and plant life. In 2023 alone, we impacted the lives of more than 1,000 children. A big thank you to everyone who made this project happen as we continue to work toward our global sustainability ambition to cut our environmental footprint in half by 2030. The Kimberly-Clark Professional distribution center in Romeoville, Illinois, successfully launched an initiative in April to use autonomous guided vehicles (AGVs) to deliver significant cost savings and safety improvements at the facility. The AGVs are driverless forklifts, precisely orchestrated by software. Automating forklift operations frees the team to spend more time working on value-stream activities such as inventory accuracy, customer relations, efficiency, and cost savings initiatives.
