Blue Star Helium Limited (ASX:BNL; OTCQB: BSNLF) has added very high-grade carbon dioxide (CO2) to its industrial gas portfolio by increasing its stake in the Serenity project to 100% at zero cash or scrip outlay. The development of Serenity will enable Blue Star to deliver a valuable additional gas product to end-users in critical but under-supplied markets. It also aligns with Blue Star’s planned co-production of premium CO2 at Galactica/Pegasus along with high-grade helium. US merchant CO2 demand is ~10.4 million tons per year, with annual demand growth forecast at 3.6%-5.0% through to 2030. Blue Star Helium Limited (ASX:BNL; OTCQB: BSNLF) has made a significant helium discovery at the State 16 SWSE 3054 development well. Laboratory analysis of reservoir samples show air corrected helium concentrations up to 1.90%, consistent with offset discovery wells. Positively, peak flow rates as high as 313 Mcfd, stabilised at 285 Mcfd, consistent with adjacent Red Rocks commercialised development were seen. The Company’s independent engineering consultants are now modelling a maximum stabilised rate and drawdown for incorporation into development planning and economics. Significantly the well also confirms the high CO 2 approaching 70% concentration which has the potential to contribute significantly to revenues. The well is currently completed for tie-in to production facilities. Commercial discussions with interested buyers for both helium and CO 2 purified product are ongoing. The Company has filed a new OGDP for 5 additional development wells and is progressing the helium processing plant site permitting. Blue Star Helium Limited’s (ASX:BNL; OTCQB: BSNLF) State 16 well has been successfully drilled to total depth (TD) with gas confirmed by wireline logs. The Lyons formation #helium target contains approximately 96 feet of high-quality gas filled sandstone. The well flowed naturally during drilling and has been “cleaning-up” (returning drilling gas and approaching reservoir gas composition and conditions) since drilling operations were completed with the onsite mass spectrometer showing elevated helium, notwithstanding significant air dilution from drilling operations. Forward operations include a pressure gradient test followed by flow testing, gas sampling and a pressure build up test over a 5 day period. After which the pressure and flow data will be analysed, and samples sent for laboratory analysis of the reservoir gas composition. Update from Blue Star Helium Limited’s (ASX:BNL; OTCQB: BSNLF) State 16 well: The intermediate hole section of the well was drilled to approximately 1,110 feet and the hole has been cased and cemented. Following a review of the cement bond log (CBL) we will drill out into the target Lyons formation and total depth (TD) the well as planned at the base of the upper Lyons sandstone (production hole section). At TD the well will be wireline logged after which the well will be flow and pressure tested for at least an additional 5 days.
