His attention is on the port city of Dalian in China where the first bunker vessel for liquefied natural gas (LNG) was recently launched. Able to bunker large crude, large container, bulk, and very large ore containers, the vessel is around 4,500 sq. ft. and the first of its kind in the country.
A Breakthrough
The vessel (dubbed XIN AO PU TUO HAO) is owned by ENN Group and considered a turning point in ship-to-ship fuel transport for China. For now, it's designed to deliver LNG to active ships in East China waters, including the province of Zhejiang (population 57 million). This bunkering vessel is available to both domestic and international ships and will primarily be operating from the Zhoushan LNG receiving terminal.

The Zhejiang province has made serious strides in the past few years to create a better environment for its many professional partners. Considering the size of the province and the popularity of the Zhoushan terminal, there were countless opportunities to both streamline the fueling process and drive profits. The goal is to make Zhoushan a natural stop for any carrier.
