Vivera is relieved to share that its litigation involving Pedram Salimpour has been dismissed, leaving Salimour with nothing by way of settlement. In the extortive 2020 lawsuit filed by Salimpour and his now-disbarred attorney, Thomas Girardi, Salimpour alleged he was an employee of Vivera, owed over $7.5 million in salary, and entitled to 5% ownership of the Company. Salimpour has never been an employee of Vivera. Aided by corrupt attorney Girardi, he filed the lawsuit intending to disrupt Vivera’s business. International Overdose Awareness Day serves as a somber reminder of the devastating effects of drug overdoses on individuals, families, and communities. As we pause to remember the lives lost, remember to spread awareness, educate, and, most importantly, cultivate empathy. Overdoses, whether accidental or intentional, are a global health crisis. Behind every statistic is a person: a son, a daughter, a friend, a loved one. The pain and trauma experienced by families and friends left behind are immeasurable. It's a pain that lingers, a void that's impossible to fill, and a wound that takes time to heal. International Overdose Awareness Day isn't just about mourning. It's also about hope, understanding, and taking action. It's an opportunity to break the stigma surrounding drug use and addiction. Many individuals who suffer from addiction are battling internal demons, past traumas, and societal judgments. Empathy can be a powerful tool in understanding their struggles and offering support. Education plays a pivotal role in prevention. By understanding the signs of an overdose, knowing how to respond, and being equipped with life-saving tools like Naloxone, we can make a difference. Communities can come together to offer resources, counseling, and rehabilitation services to those in need. Recovery is possible. Many individuals have walked the challenging path of addiction and have emerged stronger, with stories of resilience and hope. Their journeys serve as a beacon of light for others in similar situations. As we commemorate this day, let's pledge to be more understanding, non-judgmental, and supportive. Aim to create communities where individuals feel safe to seek help without fear of retribution. Every life is precious, and together, we can make a difference. Your empathy can be the lifeline someone needs.
