Michael's Story
Twelve months ago, Michael was in a medically induced coma with a 30% survival rate. Against all odds, he walked out of the hospital stronger and opened the door to his next chapter: sobriety.
After completing substance abuse counseling, Michael was living in a halfway house in Central New York before arriving to our Albany Emergency Shelter. With IPH, he received case management, nutritional meals, continued substance abuse counseling and a safe place to go to bed each night.
