The Saskatoon Blades will battle the Red Deer Rebels in the WHL's Eastern Conference Quarter Finals. The Bridge City Bunch haven't won a playoff series since beating Regina in the Conference Quarter Finals in 2006.

The Blades won the season series three games to one – their only loss back on December 5th in Red Deer – a 5-1 decision.
If the Rebels are to win, they'll need to shut down Blades Captain Derek Hulak. In four games against Red Deer this season, Hulak has five goals and five assists.
On the injury front, Curtis Hamilton could be back at some point to face the Rebels while the jury is still out on Jyri Niemi. The finnish defenceman is out indefinitely with a broken finger. Surprisingly, Teigan Zahn could be back in the playoffs – but it won't be against Red Deer. If he returns it'll be late in the post season.
