Country Management | Building Brands | Digital Transformation | Strategic Marketing | Unlocking New Business Models
Last day of June today, and also the close of first half of 2023 business cycle. Beyond driving results, I am honoured to have been able to participate in many meaningful activities in my capacity as Head of Country for Singapore Unilever Food Solutions, and contribute to wider national and industry initiatives. One of these is the visit to WWF in Kuala Lumpur to meet the leadership team and unsung heroes behind reforestation efforts. I learnt so much, and am more convinced than ever that we are on the right track, putting sustainability into our business agenda. At the recent launch of Unilever x NVPC - Towards a City of Good Purpose For Growth program, I am glad to be a panelist and have the chance to encourage other enterprises to follow suit, to shape brands through Purpose and sustainability. More than 50 SMEs in Singapore attended this event, and we spoke frankly about intentions and challenges of embedding Purpose into the business. It is clear that brands with Purpose grow, companies with Purpose last, and people with Purpose thrive. Support to do this will be valuable. And the inaugural Purpose For Growth program puts mentorship with Unilever at the heart of it, as our commitment to support SMEs in their corporate purpose journey. This is a first-of-its kind national level initiative, cutting across industries, to drive positive impact on ESG agenda collectively. I am looking forward to next half of 2023, to contributing to more purposeful activities! #sustainability #uniquelyunilever #purposeforgrowth #corporatepurpose #CompanyofGood Tony Soh Samir Singh Vijay Raj Kartik Chandrasekhar ASHISH GUPTA Ivan Lu Nakul Gaur Rong Shang Cheong Mansi Maheshwari Isabella Oh Sherawaye Hagger Gemma Byrne Sufei Lin Shweta Shukla Angela Klute

Enthusiastic leader with 15 years experience in commercial and marketing roles within LifeScience and Healthcare industries
We should always remember that our goal is to make a meaningful impact on life and health through science. Our employees here at Merck Indonesia have truly embraced this vision by spearheading Sustainability Awareness Month throughout June. We started with Waste Bank, which encouraged daily waste sorting and recycling. This program collected a staggering 723 kg of waste. The event continued with hydroponic and compost workshops, aiming to help our employees learn about more land-efficient and sustainable food sources. Employees were also taught how important it is to manage digital waste through Digital Clean Up Green Talk. Discussions also played a significant role during the awareness month. Through Brunch and Learn, employees shared their thoughts about people and sustainability in the workplace, and with Sustainability Town Hall, all employees had a chance to discuss the company's plans on sustainability with the Board of Directors. Sustainability Awareness Month ends with 40 of our employees doing remarkable volunteer work. They collected 669 kg of waste that were polluting the beach on Damar Island, an unpopulated island in Kepulauan Seribu near Jakarta. Trying and adopt sustainable living sometimes is quite challenging. Try to think about where you can really be sustainable in your daily life. Small things can lead to a bigger impact, and we can do it together, transforming individual efforts into a powerful force for change. By coming together as ONE Merck, we have shown that combining our passion, dedication, and shared vision can make a lasting difference in building a sustainable future. Curious to learn more? Watch out the video;) #sustainabilityawarnessmonth #scienceandtechnology #betterfutureforall
