A pre-COVID statistic indicates that if the internet was a country, it would be the sixth most polluting nation in the world. Yes, believe it or not, the internet harms the physical environment, as its activities emit carbon into the air. Our contribution to Earth Day today is to inform you of not only how we cause this to happen every day unnecessarily, but also how our platform can ameliorate this. For every recipient of each email you send, you emit an average of 0.3g of CO2. When you include email attachments, this number rises drastically. Research shows that 64 million unnecessary emails pre-COVID were sent every year already in the UK, contributing to 23,475 tonnes of carbon every year. Globally, the number of emails sent daily are in the 350 billion range. There are a couple of ways that our platform Document GPS stops this from being such a global threat. Firstly, every email attachment sent out of your inbox using Document GPS does not duplicate per recipient. Instead, all recipients enter inside of the same original attachment that they all share access to. Also, Document GPS is known for its matchless security in all its attachments. If everyone could be incentivized to use it for its important purpose, and deem attachments sent by others to be insecure, then a lot more of these unnecessary attachments can be reduced. Everyone is a victim when big tech gets hacked. Recently, hackers stole Microsoft corporate emails, from where they obtained passwords and other secret material that might enable them to breach multiple U.S. agencies. Look, guys, if Microsoft can get hacked, we are in trouble. Hackers’ power is unbridled by what little control the internet may be thought to have over itself. The only solution written about from the article below is that a rare directive was issued to an undisclosed number of agencies that required them to analyze the exfiltrated emails and take other security measures. But this is not a real solution to this globe-threatening problem. We can already see it coming! Authorities in Britain, the U.S, and Canada have observed hackers embracing AI technology. This is because the intelligence of AI makes it easier for hackers to make their way through the digital labyrinths encoding online businesses. The scariest part is that anyone can use it, and it takes less experience, making it more enticing for opportunists with just enough computer proficiency. The digital world is becoming more dangerous and technology like ours is designed with future attacks in mind. We have a system that protects your content from the inside so you have greater protections against increased attacks. In every way, we provide dealerships with all the tools necessary to comply with their legal obligations. Cybersecurity is not the only threat that can get the better of them. They are further penalized by the legal system for failing to comply. In particular, the Federal Trade Commission's (FTC) CARS Rule contains policies that can be a challenge to follow in this digital climate. As its front page itself states, cyber scams that honest dealers fall victim to every year cost consumers billions every year and causes them to lose business. Document GPS provides dealerships with advanced end-to-end encryption which safeguards consumer data from unauthorized access. This ensures compliance with the FTC CARS Rule’s data security requirements. It monitors and controls the distribution of customer documents in real-time, tracking who accesses, downloads, and shares all the information that goes around. This maintains compliance with the rule’s recordkeeping requirements. It also provides an e-signature solution within all email attachments, enabling a secure and efficient signing process. This streamlines compliance with the rule’s documentation requirements. Recently, a 447-page notice of proposed rulemaking was released by CISA (Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency). It proposes among the most momentous changes to cybersecurity law ever before. This includes mandating every critical infrastructure organization (316 thousand of them) to report ransomware payments to CISA within 24 hours of the attack, and “covered cyber incidents” within 72 hours. They are deploying all the fiscal resources they can to keep this working. A drastic measure, but one that might be necessary. Evidently, the CISA has realized how much cybersecurity is affecting the globe. There is something about this decision that they may not realize. As a long-term solution, this can only resolve the cybersecurity crisis once and for all if reporting cyberattacks will be a recourse to stopping hackers. We only hope that increasing transparency and public awareness could be an effective way to help both public sector and private sector prioritize investments into newer technology to combat ransomware and cyber attacks. Our CEO and co-founder Chao Cheng-Shorland shared her thoughts after yesterday's Seward & Kissel LLP blockchain symposium where she spoke as part of their "Ladies Who Launch: Making Herstory In Blockchain" series. It was a breath of fresh air to showcase how #blockchain has so many more uses outside of crypto and other financial arenas. cc Allen Alishahi #femaleCEO #femalesCEOs #Cybersecurity #DocumentManagement #Innovation #WomenInTech #Herstory #Web3 #Wirefraud #DataLoss #DataBreach
I had the incredible opportunity yesterday to take the stage at the Seward & Kissel LLP Blockchain Symposium as part of their empowering series called Ladies who Launch: Making Herstory in Blockchain. Huge thanks to Anthony Tu-Sekine for extending the invitation, and to Danielle Lemberg for conducting the interview. In a room abuzz with discussions about blockchain and cryptocurrency in finance, I had the privilege of representing our company as one of the pioneers in blockchain-enabled business solutions. What sets us apart is our innovative approach of embedding a GPS inside each document through document tokenization, exemplified by our flagship product, Document GPS. This technology offers content and document owners unprecedented control and tracking capabilities, ensuring they always know the whereabouts of their documents. Not only does this method empower users, but it also effectively combats issues like BEC, wire fraud, data losses, and data breaches. During my presentation, I emphasized the immense potential of blockchain technology to address cybersecurity challenges on a global scale. The audience was particularly intrigued by our solution and its implications for enhancing security and transparency in document management across various industries. It was a privilege to share our journey and vision for the future of blockchain technology. I am excited to continue driving innovation in this space and contributing to the advancement of cybersecurity worldwide. #Blockchain #Cybersecurity #DocumentManagement #Innovation #WomenInTech #Herstory #Web3 #Wirefraud #DataLoss #DataBreach

Our co-founder Chao Cheng-Shorland was on stage this afternoon at the Seward & Kissel Blockchain Symposium as part of their series called Ladies who Launch: Making Herstory in Blockchain. In the crowds of companies using #blockchain for a financial application, we're one of a just a handful who have brought an industry-agnostic platform to market. Chao spoke about how blockchain can be used to give users greater ownership over their digital content and how it can prevent #dataloss much more easily than other approaches that have already been tried. As she said after her talk, ‘the need for a robust solution is great. The energy in the entire room shifted into high gear when I began to discuss our new approach to cybersecurity.’ Chao represents a product that spans every industry. It is rare to find a blockchain use which not only is not just a concept but is an actual product on the market that can be applied ubiquitously.
