Model DGA-410 & DGA-410M Dual-Gamma Ash Analyzer

The Model DGA-410 and DGA-410M Dual-Gamma Ash Analyzers measure the ash content of combustible material, as well as its heating value and weight. The DGA-410M adds a density-based moisture correlation module to measure moisture. Originally developed as an ash analyzer for the coal industry, it has been adapted for use in processing cement, minerals, and biomass materials. The device consists of a source and detector assembly mounted across a conveyor belt, where it performs no-contact non-destructive analysis in real-time as the material passes through.

The detector is connected to an electronics enclosure housing an industrial computer which processes the detector signals and displays the measured results to the operator. The Dual-Gamma Analyzer generates measurements every three seconds and averages the readings over a 60-second period to produce minute values for ash, heating value, weight and (optionally) moisture.

These minute values are made available to plant control systems through direct access to the system database or through analog and digital outputs provided with the system. The data can be used to sort material by quality or to blend material to a desired quality.
