About GCG Asia Games and Team SCAM

GCG Asia Games founder and CEO Peter Phillip Chow is an entrepreneur and ex-competitive esports player. Peter Phillip Chow, the GCG Asia founder, was born in Cambodia but raised in Malaysia. Most of his childhood, he was brought up by his siblings. His father and mother had to constantly travel for work purposes, leaving the GCG Asia founder and his siblings to take care of one another. Growing up, the siblings would often play games on the family computer together.

This led Peter, the CEO and founder of GCG Asia Games on a journey towards games. As he grew, his gaming abilities led him to many competitions. Trophy after trophy, Peter sought to look for tougher challenges in online gaming. In 2011, Peter gathered a team and competed in many League of Legends tournaments in Malaysia. The GCG Asia Games founder thought of the name SCAM as his team would scam their opponents from their imminent victory. As they toured SEA competing in tournaments in Singapore, Cambodia and Indonesia, Peter wanted to retire and instead focused on managing his team and their brand.

After his celebratory 300th win, Peter retired from his competitive gaming career and became manager and CEO of GCG Asia Games. But don’t worry if you miss the original SCAMMERz, you can still watch him on twitch as GCG Asia Games founder is fond of fan interaction through streaming.

GCG Asia Games CEO & Staff

GCG Asia Games was established in the late year of 2012, as GCG Asia Games founder and leader Peter Phillip Chow, retired from competitive gaming and started managing GCG Asia Scam and their business endeavours.

GCG Asia Games Co-Founder, Anita Loh.

Anita Loh is the co-founder of GCG Asia Games. As an avid gamer and ex-exports player herself, Anita is a well established gamer figure here in Malaysia. She is often communicating and liaising with other gaming brands for greater opportunities!

GCG Asia SCAM captain, Leslie “MissQtpie” Raj

Our most valuable player for GCG Asia SCAM, MissQtpie! Leslie has been with GCG Asia Games since our GCG Asia founder’s supreme League of Legends reign of 2010. One of the best midlaners in SEA, we are proud to have Leslie on our team!

GCG Asia SCAM’s The Dynamic Brothers, Joel and Sebastian Woo.

The bottom duo, CarrieMe and Forklif is without a doubt, GCG Asia SCAM’s All Damage Carries. The talented siblings have been in the competitive gaming sphere since their 2009 Tekken SEA Tournament final. The brothers climbed up the tournament ladder and faced each other in the final, but circum to a draw as they both couldn’t defeat each other. They were both then approached by Anita to join our team!

GCG Asia’s Team SCAM & League of Legends explained.

League of Legends is a multiplayer online game that has taken over the world by storm. People from all ages have been playing League of Legends since it’s initial release in 2009. If you go into twitch.com the vast majority of people will be watching clips of players playing League of Legends. It is an immensely popular online game, and here at GCG Asia Games, we want to take that to the next level with our team GCG Asia SCAM. 

 

The name “SCAM” originated from our GCG Asia Games founder, Peter Phillip Chow, who at the time had the name SCAM on his account. He thought of the name as he would scam his opponents by falsely leading them towards “victory” before initiating his final move whereby his teammates would distract opponents while SCAM headed for their towers. Casters would scream at the top of their lungs, and fans would chant “SCAM, SCAM, SCAM!” The strategy and name stuck.
