Since 1986, New York City-based global luxury footwear brand Stuart Weitzman has combined its signature artisanal craftsmanship and precise engineering to empower women to stand strong.     As the school year comes to a close, Stuart Weitzman wants to celebrate our continued education partnership with College for Creative Studies in Detroit. For the third year, we sponsored a semester-long program, drawing upon our brand Purpose of empowering the next generation of designers to make bold moves.   Students worked in teams on a project to create innovative footwear designs together with inspiration for color, materials and embellishments, all tailored to the SW consumer. We invited the students to our headquarters in NYC in February to present their mid-term review with feedback from members of the SW Executive and Design teams. The students’ final presentation took place in April, and the program concluded with a Stuart Weitzman private review at the school in Detroit during their end-of-year fashion show.   A special thank you to everyone who helped bring this partnership to life!    #StuartWeitzman

    Get Met Gala ready with Angel Reese and Stuart Weitzman.       The basketball phenom stands strong in the EVA 75 SLINGBACK for her Met Gala debut. The custom design was crafted with hand-dyed seafoam satin and featured over 600 crystal embellishments, each placed meticulously by hand.     This was a milestone moment for Angel: Not only does it mark her first-ever Met Gala, the event also fell on her 22nd birthday. During her college career at Louisiana State University, she helped her team win the NCAA Women’s Basketball Championship in 2023 and was named NCAA Tournament Most Outstanding Player the same year. She joined the Chicago Sky team as forward in April after being selected as seventh overall pick in the 2024 WNBA draft last month.    Angel’s Met Gala look was styled by Naomi Elizée.     #StuartWeitzman   #MetGala  #StandStrong

    Excited to share that our parent company, Tapestry, recently participated in #CareerDiscoveryWeek for the third year! With this, we welcomed over 20 students from New York City's High School of Arts and Technology to our headquarters in Hudson Yards for a day of immersive learning. The day ended with a “Product Design Challenge” focused on sustainability and women’s empowerment, which included a presentation to a panel of judges across Tapestry and its brands, including our very own Juliana Naso, Senior Director, Merchandising Strategy.   #StuartWeitzman

    It was pencils up for future designers here at Tapestry during Career Discovery Week!   We recently had the pleasure of hosting 20+ students from New York City's High School of Arts and Technology for an immersive day of design and retail education. Curriculum included: ✏️ A look at the day-to-days and career journeys of our cross-functional teams ✏️ A tour of our Atelier for a behind-the-scenes look at how products come to life ✏️ A Product Design Challenge testing what they learned by ideating new products for our brands, tying in sustainability and women’s empowerment Career Discovery Week, led by Partnership for New York City and WeLoveNYC, provides thousands of NYC-based high school students with exciting hands-on career experiences outside of the classroom.     The Stuart Weitzman Men’s Collection has officially launched on stuartweitzman.com, in select SW boutiques in New York City and Costa Mesa, and in select retailers, including Saks, Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, Nordstrom and The Level Shoes Dubai.     After perfecting the art of shoemaking for over 35 years, we are now inviting men to step into our world of stylish, comfortable and quality footwear. To celebrate the launch of the Stuart Weitzman Men’s Collection, we will be hosting boutique takeovers at our South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, California and Hudson Yards, New York City locations.     Stuart Weitzman is proud to partner with Mercado Global, a women’s empowerment and ethical fashion non-profit, for our Spring 2024 Collection. The collaboration was born from the idea of pairing traditional, artisanal handcrafted fabrics with modern footwear design. With this, we created a limited-edition ikat print jacquard textile crafted by the non-profit's partner Indigenous artisanal communities in Latin America, specifically women artisans in Guatemala.    To craft the fabric, the artisans first dye specific areas of the yarn using the resist-dyeing technique to create the distinctive ikat pattern. Then, drawing upon centuries-old craftsmanship of Latin American textiles, they loom weave the dyed yarn into fabric. The fabric is shipped to the Stuart Weitzman shoemaking factories in Spain, where our team of expert artisans craft them into our newest sandal silhouettes for spring.    The partnership is more than a design venture: Incorporating textiles made by Indigenous artisanal communities in Latin America into luxury pieces represents a powerful step towards a future where ethical production methods and elevated design seamlessly intertwine in the fashion industry.     “This partnership with Stuart Weitzman not only provides work opportunities to women artisans in Guatemala, but it also brings the cultural significance of traditional Latin American handmade textiles to the forefront,” says Mercado Global Founder & Executive Director, Ruth Álvarez-DeGolia. “It celebrates and helps further preserve a centuries-old tradition, and we are thrilled to be able to bring this history of craftsmanship to Stuart Weitzman’s own storied history of craftsmanship in luxury footwear.”    This collaboration stays true to our brand purpose of empowering strength in our communities, and as our first time partnering with Indigenous artisans in Latin America, it also resonates with our brand ethos of creating beautiful, artisan-crafted accessories designed to inspire confidence.    “As a global brand that stands for uplifting women around the world, Stuart Weitzman is proud to partner with Mercado Global and support the empowerment of Indigenous women artisans in Guatemala to make meaningful change in their communities,” says Stuart Weitzman CEO & Brand President, Giorgio Sarné.     The styles are available to shop on stuartweitzman.com, in select Stuart Weitzman boutiques around the globe and in select Saks Fifth Avenue and Nordstrom locations beginning April 3.  #StuartWeitzman

    Staying true to our purpose of inspiring women with strength and confidence, we are telling the stories of three modern career women in China, each at a turning point in their personal and professional lives, through a series of three short films. Released in celebration of International Women's Day, the first of which is centered on a ballet dancer who finds the courage and confidence to not let her hesitations limit herself.
