Where did the idea for Kilo Health come from?

We were a small team a few years ago, with nothing but our laptops, a lot of ideas, and a tremendous drive to achieve something big. One thing we were certain of was that we wanted to build a business that could create other companies. I’ve always found beauty in helping people in becoming happier, and a happy person is usually a healthy one. The combination of such ideas has led us all to where we are now: Kilo Health is one of the world’s fastest-growing health tech businesses, with almost 600 people, co-founding and accelerating startups, and developing digital health solutions.

What does your typical day look like and how do you make it productive?

I sometimes feel like I’m in an emergency room – as I walk down the hall, I make so many decisions, answer millions of questions, and feel quite tired by the time I reach the end. But that’s what the life of an entrepreneur is all about; you must enjoy the process, especially when you know it might end someday. My typical day may appear chaotic, but I love every minute of it, and productivity grows from within.

How do you bring ideas to life?

I’m not sure, they just appear. To be more precise, they’re the consequences of many tests and many failures. When you start connecting the dots, new ideas and opportunities emerge. I also enjoy those little precious eureka moments. It might take some time to figure out what the process behind it is.

What’s one trend that excites you?

Currently, it’s Ronaldo and Messi and their transfers. I love football, these topics are trending, and these guys are superstars.

What is one habit of yours that makes you more productive as an entrepreneur?

I wish I knew! Maybe it’s not staying out too late and getting a good night’s sleep. Sadly, it’s difficult to manage it sometimes, but it’s essential for your productivity.

What advice would you give your younger self?

From the business perspective, think and act globally from the very beginning. It will save you a lot of time. If you make it globally – you’ll never come back to just your local market. From my point of view – don’t talk behind people’s backs and remain straightforward and honest. It truly pays off in the long run.

Tell us something that’s true that almost nobody agrees with you on.

I genuinely believe that all people are naturally good and honest in their hearts. I often hear objections that it’s not true and you can’t bet on every person, yet I continue to do so.

As an entrepreneur, what is the one thing you do over and over and recommend everyone else do?

Kicking off, pushing energy to the limit, doing as much as I can, and encourage other people to join me. I get these energy bursts that make me feel like I’m progressing. I never lock myself in some room, continue to push ideas, and keep saying that we’re still too slow.

What is one strategy that has helped you grow your business?

The ability to switch between different strategies very quickly.

What is one failure you had as an entrepreneur, and how did you overcome it?

I guess we’ll find that out in the future. How will I overcome it? It’s also a future-oriented question.

What is one business idea that you’re willing to give away to our readers?

Create a platform that allows you to download the image of furniture from Pinterest and get the same exact furniture within 48 hours. If someone implements this idea, I’m going to invest!

What is the best $100 you recently spent? What and why?

My daughter and I have a deal that she can pick something from the store if we go there together. A toy, chocolate, anything that isn’t too pricey, so she knows the limits. But recently we went shopping together, and I let her choose whatever she wanted. And it was the best $100 I’ve ever spent; I couldn’t compare it to anything else.

What is one piece of software or a web service that helps you be productive?

Well, actually, I’m most productive when I simply shut all the tabs and don’t have anything open. Besides that, I couldn’t live without the meeting calendar. When it comes to specific tools, I haven’t found anything useful yet.

What is the one book that you recommend our community should read and why?

The Donald Duck comics were the first thing that came to mind. It may sound crazy, but I’ve always wanted to be as good as Donald and have as much money as Scrooge McDuck. It’s not surprising that books and movies for children typically contain good values, and it’s healthy for adults to relax a little and put those “How to Become Someone” books away.

What is your favorite quote?

“We are all going to die anyway.” One of my favorites as it helps me to make decisions faster. Of course, it depends on the situation.
